Don't Be a Language Loner

Meet a study buddy at our lezioni di gruppo. You'll be Dante and we'll be Virgil taking you from the "Inferno" of your first halting phrases to the "Paradiso" of chatting up the locals on your next trip to Italy.

Inferno is a total beginners course, an introduction to Italian that follows the level A1 of the quadro di riferimento europeo delle lingue. Basically, at the end of the course students will be able to...

  •  understand and produce basic sentences about familiar topics
  • describe people and places
  • talk about themselves and their family
  • ask everyday questions
  • have basic conversations (order in a café / restaurant, ask for information, introduce themselves to people)
  • talk about their day, what they do in their free time
  • express what they like / their preferences

The course material is specifically designed for this 20-hour intro. It will be presented in digital form and will include powerpoint presentations, authentic readings taken from newspapers, magazines, books, etc, authentic audio material (dialogues, interviews, phone calls, etc) and grammar / vocab / reading / listening exercises.
